Hints and tips

Top tip of the week

There's no reason to strain your voice

Don't shout. Either speak normally or take your comment to the individual or groups you want to attract or inform. Your voice is necessary for your job, so train your pupils to pay attention and keep your volume for the football at the weekend. Warm up your voice before you get to the classroom either with your favourite tunes on the way to work or by practising your scales in the shower. Pupils have no mercy when you lose your voice and will not be motivated if you only have a squeak.
