Time management in school

Time management in school explains how you can save time by working together with colleagues in your school.

Get involved

Get involved if you see other pupils wasting time. If you ignore them they will continue to waste time and think you just don't care. This gives the wrong message about you as a teacher and your behaviour management.

Share intelligence about pupils

This is not "telling" on them but you may find out a previous problem or "skive" they have used that will save you time if you are prepared for it.

Take advice from colleagues

Listen to the experiences of your colleagues, even if they are in other subjects, as they will have lesson strategies that work with different subjects and ages of pupils. These can be behavioural or time skills and they can save you a lot of stress or time.
